Traditional & Digital Art by Tasha Shropshire

Tasha Shropshire

My traditional art tools include palette knife, brushes, acrylic and water mixable oil paints. Sometimes I also dabble in watercolor, oil/chalk pastels, graphite, and charcoal as well.

My digital art tools include Adobe Photoshop CC and a Huion Kamvas Pro 12 graphic monitor tablet.

I’ve been doing traditional art since I was three years old and digital art for well over a decade now and find that it is my calling in life. I also write stories, poetry, make my own hair and skin products, roleplay on various fantasy writing communities, and do ‘pay what you can’ tarot readings. Much of my work focuses on ethnic beauty, ranging in various landraces of humanity portrayed in unique or fantastical scenarios and the same with their physical features. I am self taught in portraiture and have been doing it for over ten years now.

I do art full time and tend to work extremely in depth and in long period increments. Ergo my turnaround time has a tendency to be very quick. However I try my hardest not to abstain from providing my client’s pieces with the most detail I can possibly offer.

“Much of your pain is self-chosen.It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility: for his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen, and the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears. “ – Kahlil Gibran
